This 1 day course is designed for low risk working environments such as offices and retail. It is aimed at employees that may need to provide medical care to someone who is injured or becomes unwell whilst at your workplace.
It is aimed at workplaces whose first aid assessment has identified a requirement for employees to attain an emergency first aid qualification. If your first aid assessment needs require a more comprehensive training due to employees having medical conditions then we recommend the 3 day First Aid at Work course, which teaches dealing with a wider range of medical conditions and injuries.
Course Content
- Treating unresponsive and none breathing casualties
- Use of automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Unresponsive and breathing
- Seizures
- Bleeds
- Choking
- Shock
- Burns
The course will be delivered in a classroom and offers practical hands on approach. It is designed to give employees the skills and the confidence to deal with a first aid emergency. Each candidate will be assessed throughout the day via practical scenarios and a question and answers sessions.
On successful completion, the candidate will be issued an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate by GBFiresolutions, which is valid for 3 years.

This 3 day course is designed for medium/higher risk working environments whose employees may need to deal with a wider range of accidents, injuries and illnesses.
It is ideal for workplaces whose first aid assessment needs require a more comprehensive training package due to employees having medical conditions and/or disabilities.
Course Content

- Use of automated external defibrillator (AED)
- Unresponsive and breathing
- Seizures
- Bleeds
- Choking
- Shock
- Burns
- Faintness
- Head injuries
- Poisoning
- Hypothermia/ Heat exhaustion
Candidates will also be able to assist persons who suffer:-
- Heart attack – Aspirin administration
- Angina
- Stroke
- Asthma
- Severe allergic reaction
- Diabetes – High/Low
